On December 2nd, the Norwegian Minister of Petroleum and Energy, Terje Aasland, visited our MVR installation at the Lindum waste processing plant in Drammen.
He was invited to a presentation of Tocircle breakthrough innovation in industrial heat recovery, and met the Tocircle team in front of the MVR system in operation.
The MVR (Mechanical Vapor Recompression) system at Lindum is a pilot installation recovering waste heat from a bio-waste dryer operated by Scanship (part of Vow ASA) and upgrading it to saturated steam at app. 155°C. It Is fully operative, enabling app. 50 % energy savings in the drying process. 75% savings shall be reached at a later stage.
The minister also paid attention to the potential of Tocircle MVR solution and how it can contribute to increase efficiency in many energy-intensive industrial processes in Norway and abroad. Leveraging innovative technologies is a necessity to fight climate change and improve profitability.
Nikolai Slettebø, CEO of Tocircle Industries, was pleased with this visit, the constructive discussion, and the encouraging feedback from the minister.
